Alan Silverwood
Alan Silverwood is a range of quality bakeware. Silverwood bakeware does not skimp on quality. The Silver anodised Heat Spread Technology provides efficient, even heat conduction and distribution. The heavy gauge alloy ensures robust construction of the pans. Many of the Silverwood pans have a removable base, which ensures the food you have cooked can be removed from your Silverwood pan with ease. Silverwood baking sheets are produced from rigid alloy so they do not distort in the oven.
Before using your Silverwood bakeware you should wash the pan in warm soapy water. As with all quality products, Silverwood bakeware should never be put into the dishwasher. Also, avoid the use of any harsh chemicals or oven cleaners.
We would recommend greasing your Silverwood bakeware with unsalted butter when baking cakes or pastry. Avoid using olive oil as it can build up a sticky residue on your Silverwood pans. Olive oil is also a poor release agent. Lard is an excellent release agent for baking, however do not use lard if you are cooking for vegetarians
Food can be frozen in Silverwood bakeware quickly and efficiently, as can it be defrosted. Silverwood bakeware was voted ‘Top Product’ in 2006 and 2007 at the industries Housewares Awards.
